Cost Comparison Calculations
You may be wondering why utility costs, HOAs, and property taxes are included in these comparisons. This is due to how some times those costs are bundled together with rent or other fees so that comparing 2 properties would not be fair if one included heating costs and the other did not.
Data at the 99%+ will likely be off due to challenges with accurately sampling people at those high percentiles. The difference between someone at 50.1% versus 50.2% will be relatively small but someone at 99.7% vs someone at 99.8% will be exponentially larger, so for the surveyors at the American Community Survey program will have more difficulty assessing and capturing that distribution.
